Toby & Tabby: Biting the hand that feeds us since 2007
|

Toby and Tabitha's reign of terror began in the winter of 2006, with their birth in Tallahassee, Florida. They are brother-and-sister,
and they belonged to a friend of mine from church. This nice lady, who didn't know she was raising devil cats, one day mentioned
she was looking for a home for them. Stupidly, I volunteered to take them -- the first of many tragic mistakes on my part (more on
this later). In my defense, they hide their evilness well.
A year later, my home is littered with bite marks in the furniture, about $700 worth of appliances have been ruined because they
chewed through the power cords, and they have upchucked or peed in every single room except one ("Hey, you missed one!" I
keep telling them). Basically, I'm a hostage.
Toby is a black-and-white tabby. He's a little bigger and beefier than Tabby, and a little more comfortable around strangers. He's
got dark tiger stripes on his body, an upside-down white triangle on his face, and a black splotch on his nose. His favorite
pastimes are trying to destroy things and being evil.
Tabby is black, white and orange -- a calico or a tortoiseshell, I can never remember which one. She is smaller but feistier, and a
little braver when it comes to launching herself across the kitchen from counter to counter. She doesn't like people (especially
me). Her favorite pastimes are sneezing in my face and helping Toby break my stuff. She's also evil.
Amazingly, they each have black accent marks around opposing eyes (Toby has one around his left eye but not his right; Tabby
has one around her right eye but not her left). Maybe I need to get out more, but I think it's kind of incredible. Anyway, together this
destructive duo likes to: A) Race through my home at top speed for no reason, B) Pester me for food, C) Lick each other, D) Fight
each other (sometimes simultaneously), E) Plot new ways to get into the dryer or refrigerator, and F) Try to find something
valuable to chew.
Although they couldn't care less, I am a responsible owner and treat them well. I take them for regular vet visits and make sure
they get all their shots. I have also had them spayed, neutered and declawed. They have never forgiven me for this. I swear they're
plotting something.
You can reach them at mail@tobyandtabby.com, or through the guestbook on the Contact page. Heck, they'll probably get more
mail than me.
